new features

Alpha support for the next generation Intel® Core™ processsor family (codenamed Ivy Bridge, for Intel 2012 platforms), including acceleration for Render, XV, 3D, compositing, H.264/VC-1/MPEG2 decoding and H.264 encoding.
Added H.264 encoding feature and further stability/performance improvements for the 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ processor family (codenamed Sandy Bridge, for Intel 2011 platforms).

known issues

Sandy Bridge: S4 suspend-resume may fail on some machines: bug#35648, bug#35846, bug#36071.
Sandy Bridge: GPU semaphores disabled by default. Turning it on may lock some machines (bug#37572) while turning it off hurts performance (bug#38861).
Ivy Bridge: "missed IRQ" appear in many tests: bug#38862.
Ivy Bridge: GPU hang for some 3D games: bug#38863.
